Yes, I know I won't get that. It's a "hopeful sale/trade" price.
Might as well have it listed before something else breaks.

Prepare for the V6 mustang and camero trade offers.

Would you take it for a 2008 Camry Hybrid with 165,000kms and you throw in a flight to LA?
PLEASE!?

I could have sworn you put it up for sale in the past. Anyways, good luck with the sale! What car are ya after next?
![]() 03/16/2015 at 22:24 |

haha, yeah, when I listed my corvette a guy kept stalking me to trade his 1998 V6 Mustang in which he "put 10000$ in it" :)
![]() 03/16/2015 at 22:25 |

Yep, but it kept getting flagged, so I gave up. Maybe another Z? 80s Japanese cars (AE86/MR2)?

What do you plan on getting to replace it? Something with a manual I hope! :)
A TT 300ZX?
![]() 03/16/2015 at 22:29 |

With any luck something manual!
And I'm straying away from Z32s after this one. Unless.....well, no. MUST....RESIST.....

9,000 Miles in 3 months? I thought I was driving a lot with 5,000 in 2.5 months.

LT1 Corvette... you wouldn't be desappointed I promiss you :)

Can't imagine why assholes would keep flagging your posts. You've got yourself a clean Z. Best of luck with it! Would an older Supra or an RX-7 be a viable option?

I'll give you 5,000 Forza credits. Please deliver it to the Forza Hub in Nice where I'll paint it hot pink and crash it into a LaFerrari at 125 mph.

Replace "very clean" with "automatic" in the title.
all of the people browsing will thank you

"willing to separate calipers? you can sell the rest of the car to someone who already has them"
~every facebook sales page.
but seriously, some 300zx calipers would suit my car nicely.

Do you have any pictures of it? I can't imagine how many autozone seat covers, flame decals, fake vents, fake hood scoops, and led halo lights are needed to get to $10k.
![]() 03/16/2015 at 22:41 |

Supra, sure! (I like MkIIIs, but it's damn near impossible to find a nice one)
RX7? I'm not putting up with rotary problems if it's not as good looking as the FD
![]() 03/16/2015 at 22:42 |

I'd go for it....doubt he would.

nice ad! I'll be sad to see this leave the oppo fleet
Will this change what you're the keeper of

Possibly, although I'd be happy to end up in another Japanese car

Never seen a MkIII Supra before! They must be very hard to find in any condition huh.
Fair enough on the rotary.

Well that's.....good? To hear?
![]() 03/16/2015 at 23:12 |

Ok, that sounds far more reasonable. As it is, the ad says 3 months.

Not terribly. Took 5 seconds! :p
![]() 03/16/2015 at 23:23 |

That's my biggest regret... I didn't ask him for some :(
Still today, I regret it, badly...
![]() 03/16/2015 at 23:24 |

That would be if you sell it and not trade it of course...You should be able to get around 7500$ for your car... so it's only 2500$ away from a very nice looking LT1 Corvette :)

I remember you tried to post a while ago and kept getting flagged.
I had a similar experience trying to post a set of snow tires and stock Mazdaspeed 6 wheels. I tried to make it as detailed as possible and included links to where people could buy hub-centric rings on Amazon.
It kept getting flagged. I'd repost and without fail, flag. I finally decided to take out the links. I could've gone even less detailed, because I also had a list of cars they might possibly fit, and people kept on asking about the wheels, and I'd have to ask them what car they had then tell them no they won't fit. I could've left ALL that BS out because the guy who ended up buying them showed up in a Mazdaspeed 6.
So, if you had links before...

You got to watch out for some of these. Only early LT1s moisture would wreck the "Optispark" or whatever it was called distributor

I never did.

You think your price is optimistic, check out this guy

![]() 03/17/2015 at 00:13 |

Well, I know I had one :)
And the moisture problem is not really going to be one for him in California... As far as IF a problem happens, it's really very easy and straight forward to change yourself...
It takes about 250$ for the part and 4 to 5 hours if you have never done it... 2 to 3 hours if you have.
I had to change mine after a radiator hose "died" while I was playing a bit too hard in mountain roads... It was fairly easy to do it...

All of a sudden, I feel better.

...... Yeah auto tragic totally is on par with a branded title for cars in this price range to me. Nonetheless, GLWS

My dad had a 93 Buick Roadmaster with an Lt1 when it was new and before the revised part that wouldn't be destroyed by moisture came out.
This thing was plauged by problems and stranded him with about 16k on the clock. When it stranded him again with like 38k on it, he said to hell with the thing and sold it.

You've got to keep in mind that his price has the "Hemmings premium." People tend to think that their shit is worth a lot when they post on Hemmings.
I really don't know how much these go for, but since yours is low miles I'd listen to some offers first.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 00:24 |

"Rich people come here so they must be willing to spend a 150% premium"
![]() 03/17/2015 at 00:24 |

Yeah but the little difference between the Buick and the Corvette is the engine bay...
It's very easy to work on the Corvette
Everything is accessible. You just seat on the tire and work from there... (LT4 in the picture buit you get the point...)
In the Buick, you cannot reach shit!
Everything is packed, it's really awful. Camaros are same too... I wouldn't buy either one because of that...
The Corvette is very easy to work on and it makes changing the optispark fairly simple and straight forward...
Also, vented optisparks appeared in 1994 on The Corvette, but don't expect it to be without any trouble! It's vented, sure, it still fails though... Mine is the proof that it does lol (I had a '95)
![]() 03/17/2015 at 00:37 |

You are just selling this to replace it with another Z right??
RIGHT?!?
![]() 03/17/2015 at 00:41 |

That Buick was a Lemon I think, which would account for the horrid reliability.
One thing that was bad engineering is that it wore out shocks like you wouldn't believe and was severly underdampened. It felt more like a boat than the larger B-Bodies of the past somehow. It would weave and wander all over the road and be pushed around by crosswinds.
Unsuprisingly, I've been a bit cautious of LT1s and contemporary full size GMs. I really wish GM's last bof full size were more like their classics and not such utter pieces of shit.
I would like to own a C4 (maybe someday) if it's a good price; I don't think you can get more performance potential from many other cars around their price point.
![]() 03/17/2015 at 00:51 |

With luck.

LT1 and LT4 C4 Corvettes rarely desappoint... They are very reliable once you get past the Optispark thing... Mine had 170.000miles on the same engine (no rebuild) and it was going strong!
I would stay away from the ones BEFORE LT1s though, especially those with the 4+3 transmission which can be a real nightmare. The ZF6 transmission in the Corvette is considered "fragile" though. By that I mean that it can last forever if and only if it's driven properly (rev match on every single downshift, no un-necessary brutality...etc).
I really miss mine and sometimes in the next couple of years, I will buy another Corvette despite living in Japan now :)

Wow, I've done more than double what you've done. Then again, my outback has been to Alabama, which put the first 1,200 on it. The rest has just been to and from school.

Fellow Z owner, with a bit of Z fatigue (which is really just old car fatigue). Don't go older unless you're going pristine, and don't go older anyway because the power downgrade will always disappoint you.
A 370Z would be an awesome transition because they improved everything: power, braking, handling, even weight.

Nooooooooooo!!! Does this leave me as the lone 300ZX Opponaut?? I only just joined the club!
Also, WTF, you had an auto?
